KANAME is a famous Japanese cosplayer. He has cosplayed Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, Ichigo Kurosaki from BLEACH, Kaito from Vocaloid among many others. He's an excellent cosplayer due to the fact that he has always resembled so much the characters that he cosplays.

I am so happy that I was able to know him, though not personally. We share the same passion for anime and cosplaying. It's truly important that we should get the character right. It is one of the most important things in cosplaying. I hope that someday I will be able to see him in person, I just really want to meet him. That will make me really happy. I hope that someday this dream of mine will come true, when I've saved up enough money so that I can go to Japan, though I believe the best chances for me is to really stay in Japan and work there, so that I can have a longer time, and perhaps he may attend one of the anime conventions and I can get to see him there. ^_^ I won't give up on this dream. I have so many things to be thankful for him for. He has always put a smile on my face and he's one of my inspirations. Now that I really consider getting into the cosplay fashion, KANAME is my inspiration and I really hope that when he sees my costumes he'll be pleased and tell me that it's a job well done. ^_^

Kuronuma Sawako Cosplay

As a huge anime fan, it has always been my dream to done cosplay of my favorite anime characters. Though it was only lately that I was able to join the cosplay community, i figured it would be nice to have a new costume. I find it hard to think of a good anime character for me to coslay, since you will have to consider that the character has to be a favorite of yours and you can really act the way the character acts! Lately i've been really hooked to Kimi Ni Todoke manga, and I've decided that as of now, the only anime character that seems feasible for me to cosplay is Kuronuma Sawako, the main heroine of the story. I watched episodes 1-2 of the anime and here are some of thescreenshots i took for reference of her costume. ^_^

I love the color of her uniform! It's in pale bluish-green. The ribbon also stands out due to its red color, which completely contrasts the bluish-green attire.

I've noticed that she wears two types of blouses, well that which is common in the Japanese custom. Japanese schools usually have a summer uniform and a winter uniform, due to the change of seasons. The only change in their school though is that the summer blouse if short-sleeved while the winter blouse is in long sleeves. There are also two types of sweater, the one we can see above, which has the same cloth material as the skirt, and the other one is the yellow sleeveless sweater. I'll post pictures as soon.

Fast Fact: On the second picture, Sawako saw an abandoned puppy on her way to school. It was raining really hard and so she placed her umbrella to the box the puppy was placed into, and continued on her way to school. She came to school soaking wet from the rain and so Kazehaya asked Yoshida if she could lend Sawako some of her gym clothes.

Later on the series, however, it was revealed that Shouta saw the puppy and decided to adopt it! Oh they really are a good match! ^_^
